Niger is part of the French Monetary Area. Only currency issued by the
Banque des Etats de 8217; Afrique de 8217; Ouest (Bank of West African
States) is valid; currency issued by the Banque des Etats de 8217;
Afrique Centrale (Bank of Central African States) is not. The CFA Franc
is tied to the Euro.

of the River Niger, stretching over 2200 square kilometers in Niger
alone. Open December-June: elephants buffalo, antelope, baboons,
